Self Testing and Notification
One of the iControl's (and DataPump's) most important features is that it is 100% configurable, including its ability to self test as often as you like (we pre-set it for every 12 hours). If the system discovers something you need to know, you will get text messages or emails according to your configuration! It's simple and can be edited anytime.
If that was the extent of iControl's technology, it would be impressive enough, but this is where the iControl goes from great to ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.
The alert messages contain a link that you can click to instantly open the iControl's online interface. Silence alarms, test equipment, change the configuration or email settings ANYTIME, from ANYWHERE! This is today's latest internet and home automation technology built right into your sump pump protection system!!!

Self testing and notification features:
• Configure system to self test as often as you want. Default setting is once per day.
• Self test will check and verify proper operation of pump, battery, charger, sensors, and electronics.
• A-OK test can be set to auto-send you a message as often as you want for verification that all is well.
• Customize system functions as necessary: change pump cycling behavior (Pre-set = 10 seconds), specify different battery types and sizes for proper charging and maintenance (Pre-set for a 110ah "calcium" battery), can even change the pump type to a non-7-Series pump (for people wanting to use a competitor's pump... though we can't think of a good reason to do this), even a setting for multiple pumps in separate sump pits.
• Customize notificaton settings to send certain alarms to certain recipients.
• Alarm control panel displays what alarms are active and allows for silencing, removing silencing, and resetting alarms.
• All settings are pre-set to common factors to work straight out of the box. No changes are usually necessary.
• Simple. Easy to understand, edit and operate interface.
